Photo:Bosc d'Anjou | Ole Bull's summer villa on the island of Lysøen, near Bergen. Built in 1873, it was designed by Ole Bull himself, supervised by Conrad Fredrik von der Lippe, a professional architect. The style is, to say the least, eclectic: Russian, Swiss, Moorish... Too costly to maintain, it was donated by Bull's grand-daughter to Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments (Fortidsminneforeningen).
